കൊച്ചിയില്‍ കേരള സ്‌ട്രൈക്കേഴ്‌സും മുംബൈ ഹീറോസും തമ്മില്‍ നടന്ന മത്സരത്തിന് ശേഷം നടന്ന വിരുന്നിനിടെയാണ് പ്രിയാമണിയ്ക്ക് ദുരനുഭവം നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നത്. കൊച്ചിയിലെ പഞ്ചനക്ഷത്ര ഹോട്ടലില്‍ നടന്ന വിരുന്നില്‍ ലക്ഷ്മി റായി സഞ്ജന, ഭാവന, സോണിയ അഗര്‍വാള്‍, മധു ശാലിനി, ജെനീലിയ ഡിസൂസ, ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പേസ് ബൗളര്‍ ശ്രീശാന്ത് തുടങ്ങിയവരും പങ്കെടുത്തിരുന്നു.
പുലര്‍ച്ചെ നാല് മണി വരെ നീണ്ടു നിന്ന പാര്‍ട്ടിയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം താരങ്ങള്‍ മുറികളിലേക്ക് മടങ്ങുമ്പോഴായിരുന്നു സംഭവം നടന്നത്. വെള്ളമടിച്ച് പൂസായ സച്ചിന്‍ ജോഷി പ്രിയാമണിയുടെ അടുത്തുകൂടി അവരെ തടഞ്ഞുനിര്‍ത്തുകയും കയറിപ്പിടിയ്ക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിയ്ക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു. ഇത് ശ്രദ്ധയില്‍പ്പെട്ട ക്രിക്കറ്റ് താരം ശ്രീശാന്തിന്റെ സമയോചിത ഇടപെടലാണ് സംഭവം കൂടുതല്‍ വഷളാകാതെ നിയന്ത്രിച്ചത്. സച്ചിന്‍ ജോഷിയുടെ ശ്രദ്ധ ശ്രീശാന്ത് തിരിച്ചുവിട്ട തക്കത്തിന് പ്രിയാമണി അവിടെ നിന്നും തടിതപ്പുകയായിരുന്നു.

World cup T20 Team
India batsman Yuvraj Singh has been named in India's T20 squad for the
home series against New Zealand and the ICC World Twenty20 next month in
Sri Lanka, marking a return to cricket after battling with cancer. VVS
Laxman, Ishant Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Piyush Chawla and Ajinkya
Rahane have been included for the home Tests against New Zealand later
this month. Rohit Sharma has been left out of the Test squad after a
lean period with the bat.
Yuvraj, who hasn't played for India since the 2011 World Cup final, was
passed fit when the selection committee met in Mumbai to pick the
respective squads. However, he was picked despite the lack of match
practice. The Twenty20 squad had a few surprises, most notably the
recall of the legspinner Chawla (in both squads), offspinner Harbhajan
Singh and the seamer L Balaji. Chawla last played for India during the
tour of Zimbabwe in 2010, while Balaji's previous game goes back another
year. What may have boosted Balaji's selection was a successful IPL
2012, during which he played a key role in Kolkata Knight Riders' title
win.

Olympics: Shooter Vijay Kumar bags silver in 25 metre rapid fire event
Pupo kept his cool to win Cuba's first gold. Pupo scored 34 to edge out India's Vijay Kumar, who took silver with 30 after hitting just 2 from the last 5 sohots. China's Ding Feng won bronze after being edged out by Kumar by one point in the final elimination round.

Performance: In Sakuni, Karthi steals the show with his wonderful performance. He has taken whole responsibility of running the show on his shoulder. Pranitha has no much scope except to shake legs with the hero. Santhanam tickles the funny bones of audiences. Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Roja, Radhika, Anushka, Andrea, Kiran Rathod have also done justice to their respective roles.
Technical: PH Muttaiah's cinematography is bright and average, while Srikar Prasad's editing is very dull. GV Prakash Kumar's music is below the par and none of the songs are impressive and foot-tapping. Even the background score is very dull and the poor re-recording fails to elevate the scenes.
The director has chosen an excellent storyline with political backdrop, but has failed to narrate it properly. All the scenes are bits and pieces as he has chosen a novel way to narrate in the form of flashbacks. The entire film looks very dull due to unimpressive 
screenplay. He has also failed to tap the energies of Prakash Raj, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Nazar, Radhika and Karthi. Roja's character is wasted.

All the dialogues in the film had the Tamil scent and lacked local touch. The production values of Bellamkonda are good. The entire first half of the film is devoted to narration of silly points in the form of flashbacks. Second half takes fast pace for some time, but the director lose grip on the subject again.
Remarks: Watch the film if you are a hardcore fan of Karthi. Otherwise, you can wait for the DVD as the film is not that exciting and interesting to watch by going to the theatre. The commercial success of the film depends on how could Karthi pulls audiences to the theatre.
